About half way between Melbourne and Adelaide and only 4k from Horsham the Capital of the Wimmera. Stronsay Bed & Breakfast is a winner in the Powercor Wimmera Business Awards and is set on four acres of delightful gardens and provides a restful stopover or a secluded getaway where guests can relax in complete comfort, unwind and enjoy the ambience of this tranquil semi-rural retreat amid elegant gardens and majestic stands of established trees, Such is the charm of Stronsay.

The IN-HOUSE GUEST ROOM is ideal for the single traveller or one who is in Horsham on business. The In-house guest will enjoy their own private facilities including a room with a double bed, (wardrobe - clock radio - electric blanket - heating etc), a seperate bathroom/toilet and a guest lounge with an open fire, digital TV, VCR, radio, refridgerator, tea and coffee making.

Mallala Cottage (Circa 1923), an original mud brick cottage renovated to a most comfortable standard, is nestled in the gardens and is complete with an open fire for those romantic winter nights, split system heating/cooling, TV, VCR/DVD, microwave, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom. There is a queen size bed in one bedroom and two single beds in another. Both bedrooms have a clock radio, electric blankets, wardrobe etc.

Getting To Horsham

Horsham lies 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 450 kilometres south east of Adelaide, on the main rail and road routes linking Victoria with Adelaide.

The Western Highway is the main artery through Horsham connecting Melbourne and Ballarat in the south-east and Adelaide in the north-west. There is also the Wimmera Highway which connects St Arnaud to the east, Naracoorte in the west and the Henty Highway connecting the south-western areas of Victoria such as Hamilton, Warrnambool and Portland, along with Warracknabeal and Mildura in the north.
