The region specialises in a range of produce offering olives, wool, lamb, lentils, chickpeas, turkey, fruit and vegetables, wildflowers, wine, soap and more.

The Wartook Valley region of the Grampians is renowned for its Mediterranean vibes rich in olives, oils, capers and wines, native wildflowers, artist studios, therapeutic soap and relaxing getaways.

Further north into the Wimmera plains, lentils and chickpeas are grown. The Wimmera wheat and grains are baked into local breads and pure honey caters for the sweet tooth.

Horsham wool factory produces some of the best ultra-fine merino wool in the world. Or venture out a little further and visit Sylvania Park mohair farm.

Beef, lamb, turkey and duck are all produced in the region, and may be found at restaurants, hotel bistros and cafes.
These include Indian, Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Mexican, Italian cuisine as well as traditional Aussie favourites.

Farmers and businesses throughout the region grow quality organic vegetables, premium red and white wines, native wildflowers, trees and shrubs. Come along and experience a little taste of the Horsham's regional local produce for yourself !

Getting To Horsham

Horsham lies 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 450 kilometres south east of Adelaide, on the main rail and road routes linking Victoria with Adelaide.

The Western Highway is the main artery through Horsham connecting Melbourne and Ballarat in the south-east and Adelaide in the north-west. There is also the Wimmera Highway which connects St Arnaud to the east, Naracoorte in the west and the Henty Highway connecting the south-western areas of Victoria such as Hamilton, Warrnambool and Portland, along with Warracknabeal and Mildura in the north.
